This is the Kockney Koi Yamitsu Special Algae Master 15w UVC which has been specially designed to fit the Kockney Koi Yamitsu Mega and Platinum Pond Filter Boxes.

Filter Kockney Koi have been producing the Yamitsu Algae Master UV water sterilisers in Great Britain since 1990. Their unique specification and design ensure a highly efficient unit at an affordable price. Historically all Yamitsu UVs were fitted with Philips germicidal lamps and these proved excellent. However, the Yamitsu Algae Masters now utilise the new Yamitsu high performance UV lamps which have been specifically tuned to match the Algae Master’s internal ballast, thereby significantly increasing UV output by between 7% and 11%, for even better results.

All Yamitsu UVs are made from high quality UV stabilised materials to ensure a long life span and incorporate turbulators to enhance their performance. Each unit is supplied with 10 metres of EN approved cable and fitted 3-pin UK plug for ease of installation.

Kockney Koi recommend that the Yamitsu Algae Masters should be installed using solid 40mm solvent weld pipe which glues directly into the inlet and outlet ports or alternatively 1.5″ pressure pipe sockets will fit over the inlet and outlet ports. Alternatively if you would prefer to utilise flexible pond hose the addition of a glue in Kockney Koi Solvent Weld Outer Stepped Hosetail would enable the connection of 12mm, 19mm, 25mm, 32mm or 38mm flexible pipe.
