Velda Lelite is a nutrient rich soil that has been created specifically for water lilies with a composition of blue loam and dried fenland peat. Owing to the special and light structure of the mix, Lelite allows sufficient water circulation to prevent plant roots from choking. The blue loam and included nutrients, minerals and trace elements stimulate strong root growth and structure resulting in lush, healthy lily growth.

The development of water lilies primarily depends on the planting substrate used. A well developed root system is key to forming healthy leaves and producing numerous flowers. Lelite has been specially composed by Velda to allow water lilies to flourish and thrive in the best possible way. Lelite contains all the vital building blocks for optimum growth, formation of leaves and flowers.

Advice For Use:
For water lilies make use of a spacious plant basket at least 30 x 30 x 25cm in size. If planting plants into plastic baskets, Velda advise the additional use of the Velda Plant Basket Cloth Liners to prevent soil washing out and consequently clouding the pond water. It is also advised to cover the plant soil with a fine-grained substrate or washed gravel after planting.
