The Tetra Test Oxygen Water Test Kit is a simple to use testing kit for determining oxygen (O2) levels in freshwater aquariums, marine aquariums and ponds. The Tetra Oxygen Test Kit provides readings between 2 mg/l and 14 mg/l.

Oxygen is vital for all aquatic life including fish, plants and filter bacteria, this test kit will allow you to know if its time to take steps to add further aeration though the use of an air pump or alternative method. If oxygen levels fall, this can lead to possible fatal consequences and at the very least induce stress which can leave your fish susceptible to disease. A reduction in oxygen levels can also cause your biological filtration to cease working leading to water quality issues.

Application:
The Tetra Test Oxygen Water Test Kit is a simple to use kit for determining oxygen levels. It is a liquid kit, which works by changing the colour of a water sample in relation to the oxygen concentration. You simply need to compare the colour of the sample to the enclosed colour chart, to determine the oxygen level. It is advisable to test oxygen levels first thing in the morning, as this is when they are likely to be lowest. Tetra recommend testing the oxygen levels every 2-3 weeks, or more frequently during hot weather. Always read the instructions carefully before use.
