JBL ProPond Winter Fish Food provides a complete easy to digest fish food, suitable for feeding at lower temperatures between 5-15°C, making it ideal for the winter months. JBL ProPond Spring, Summer and Autumn foods are also available for when the water temperature is outside of this range. ProPond Winter Food is supplied as a small 3mm sinking pellet suitable for a range of fish sizes.

JBL ProPond Winter has been optimised to a 2:1 protein/fat ratio in accordance with the NEO index. The NEO index literally means: Natural Energy Optimised nutrition. Behind this lies the ratio of proteins to fats in the food. Looking at the season alone, the fish would only need half as much protein in winter (2:1) as in summer (4:1). But because not only the season (water temperature), but also the size and age of the fish, and food function play determining roles, the NEO index has been developed to deal with all these factors in one.
