Gordon Low Heavy Duty Black Geotextile Overlay is manufactured to a high quality at 250g per m². The Geotextile Overlay is ideal for use as a protective lining over the top of flexible pond liners. Given the black colour the Overlay blends into the pond environment for a discrete installation.

Pond Planet would always recommend the use of Geotextile Overlay to protect pond liners from potential puncture risk if additional decorative aggregates such as gravel, rocks, soil or slabs are to be placed on top of the pond liner. Gordon Low Heavy Duty Overlay can either be used to cover the whole lined arear prior to the addition of aggregates or used to safeguard specific areas at a greater risk of puncture, such as the perimeter edge under rock/slab edging or where people or pets may tread in higher traffic areas. Alternatively when used in water feature installations the Overlay can be used underneath a heavy water feature, pump or fountain plinth.

Given its impressive puncture resistance and rot resistant properties the Black Geotextile Overlay is equally as good when used as an underlay material.

Please Note: The Overlay is not self-sinking and may therefore require weighing down or loosely bonding to the pond liner with a waterproof sealant.
